Born into a household surrounded by five sisters, Duane embraced the role of a protector and supporter from an early age. From the tender age of 12, he learned the value of hard work  though his grandparents Willie and Mollie Mae Mitchell who contracted cottonfields for business and Duane had his first job working in cottonfields  in 1977.  During this time, he was paid $125 weekly, with a responsibility contribution of $20 to his grandparents each week. In addition, the rest of his of money would be saved in a Folgers Coffee can, which he would then use to buy his own clothes and school necessities. This was the beginning of shaping his values as well as responsibility and leadership.

With an innate drive for success, Duane embarked on a remarkable journey as an entrepreneur. His journey began over two decades ago, when he took the bold step of establishing his first business venture in the music industry; led by passion and unwavering dedication. Duane not only founded but also meticulously nurtured multiple successful businesses across various sectors.

Duane and his wife, Semira  share six children, and have 20 devoted years of marriage. Their role to their children epitomizes their commitment to family values, instilling in them the principles of hard work, integrity, and resilience. Duane is actively involved in all aspects of his children's growth and development in areas such as spiritual guidance, sports, financial literacy, and relationship building. Duane's influence extends beyond his immediate responsibility as a father in his household; he serves as a male role model for his extensive family and community, earning admiration and respect for his guidance and unwavering support.
